Care for children’s teeth

Prevention for children
We perform fissure sealing - the grooves on the chewing surfaces of the teeth are sealed with a protective material before decay can appear.
Exogenous fluoride prophylaxis strengthens the enamel and makes teeth more resistant to decay.
Fissure sealing for children, exogenous fluoride prophylaxis and preventive check-ups are among the services covered by the Health Insurance Fund.

At what age should a child first visit the dentist?
The first visit is best done early, as soon as the first teeth appear - that way the child gets used to the practice without fear.
Do baby teeth need treatment?
Yes. A decayed baby tooth can cause pain and damage the permanent tooth growing underneath it.
What is fissure sealing?
A procedure in which the grooves (fissures) on the chewing surfaces are sealed with a protective material - food and bacteria cannot get trapped in them, so decay is much harder to develop.
