Root canal treatment (endodontics)
Endodontics deals with the treatment of the dental pulp (the nerve) and the tissues around the root - and is often the way to save a tooth from extraction.
How we treat teeth at Cipident
We fill the root canals with an endomotor, using an apex locator - a device that precisely determines the length of the root canal.
The materials we use come from the most modern and renowned manufacturers.
In our practice we stand behind every service we offer our patients.
When treatment is needed
Treatment is needed when decay reaches deep into the tooth and affects the pulp, or when the nerve becomes inflamed. Symptoms often include strong pain, sensitivity to hot and cold, or swelling.
Tooth treatment and endodontic treatment are also among the services we provide through the Health Insurance Fund.
Frequently asked questions
Is root canal treatment painful?
With modern techniques and instruments, the treatment is largely painless. Our motto is “Modern dentistry - painless treatment”.
What is an apex locator?
An electronic device that precisely measures the length of the root canal, so the canal can be cleaned and filled exactly to the tip of the root.
Is it better to treat a tooth or extract it?
Whenever possible, it is better to save the tooth. We first assess the situation at a check-up; extraction is the last resort.
